This multi layered book had me captivated from the first page. Not only is it a sweet teenage love story, but it is a murder mystery complete with a "Clue" like who done it spin. The story seamlessly flows, and the backstory is cleanly integrated. The fact that Clista is deaf only adds to the books imagery. We see everything more clearly, as Clarista relies on her sense of sight, the descriptions clearly portray this.

My Haunting Love is a clever and sweet read. Wilsoncroft clearly has grown as a writer. This book showcases her ability to build suspense, as well as her ability to make you feel for her characters. This is her first YA novel and clearly she hits the mark. I will even go so far as to say this book is YA Gold. Perfect for middle to upper grade kids, but adults will appreciate the action and suspense as well. Great summer read that won't weigh you down and will leave you feeling satisfied.

This book is awesome I finally read the whole book and I loved it. Great for all ages to read. It keeps the suspense going.
I loved this book, it was well written and it had me on the edge of my seat in some parts! This was a great story to read.

This was a very sweet story of love but for the the very young teen reader, not young adult. I'll pass this down to my grand-daughter in time.
Okay, right off the bat you are introduced to Calista. Being deaf doesn't seem to hold back her spunk. And then John comes in and leaves her little notes which I thought was the cutest thing ever!! I adored the book. Read it in one sitting, and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good romance book!!!
In this YA (young adult) novel, we meet Calista, who is not your traditional heroine. For the most part, she is your normal average moody sixteen year old, except she's deaf and she can see ghosts. In this thrilling tale, we meet a lovable ghost, John, with a tragic past, and before you know it, Calista is swept up in the mayhem and mystery of John's past. Just when you think you have it figured out, Wilsoncroft throws a curveball and it becomes even more sinister than originally anticipated! It's hard not to get swept up in this novel.
Final Thought I hope there is more YA on Wilsoncroft's writing list!
It's been a while since I've read a true YA book and, to be honest, I didn't think I would like it that much. I was wrong. It wasn't long until this story hooked me in and as I was approaching the end, I couldn't put it down. But I think the best thing was that I wasn't sure how it would finish.
As soon as I read About My Haunting Love which is a short explanation about how this story came to be, I was intrigued. As I flipped to the next page, I became even more so. Even though I knew it was a ghost story, I kept being surprised by the twists and turns in this book journey.
You can read the synopsis on or Goodreads, but I don't think the synopsis reveals just how good this book is. It's different. Calista and John both hold you, one with a human hand and one with a ghostly one.
I gave My Haunting Love 5 out of 5 stars and I also look forward to reading more from this author.
